Our Mission

Our Mission

Caring Companions' mission is to provide excellent home care services and innovative solutions to support seniors in aging in place, delaying or eliminating the need for institutional care.

We’re dedicated to the family caregivers who take on the rewarding and selfless role of helping their loved ones live independently for as long as possible. For spouses who become 24 hour caregivers and adult children who miss work to check in, skip classes to check up, juggle kids and spouses and jobs while caring for or worrying about your parents all at the same time, we have
you in mind when we are thinking outside the box, and implementing innovative products and programs.

Integrity

Integrity is always doing the right thing no matter who is looking, telling the truth, being open, not taking advantage of others. A quality of being honest and having strong moral principal. Standing by what you know is right even if you are the only one. Standing up for people who can not stand for themselves because it is the right thing to do.

Compassion

A characteristic that is difficult to teach if it is not already in your heart. Often people don’t realize that compassion is multi-dimensional. It includes received compassion, self-compassion, and extended compassion. At Caring Companions we must do all three, being compassionate to our clients, to our co-workers by ensuring our attendance is good to eliminate burn out, maintaining professionalism in challenging times, and taking care of ourselves by balancing work with our personal needs.

Accountability

Knowing where your responsibilities start and end, when you can be honest with yourself and supervisor and set aside pride. Accepting responsibility when something goes wrong and not finding fault but seeking a solution in all you do. Being accountable is time management and making sure all your responsibilities are met within the time allotted, not over committing and the ability to reflect.

Respect

Accepting others for who and what they are even if they are different from you or if you disagree with them. Respect in relationships with clients, client families, co-workers, and different organizations in the community build feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing. Respect is meeting someone where they are and bringing them the rest of the way together.

Excellence

Being outstanding, going above and beyond the standard; raising the bar for ourselves and others. A desire for continued improvement and to share your knowledge with others. Taking pride in your work and striving to make excellence a habit.
